Yesterday I started training the Boy to be my assistant, as things are getting a little crazy around here lately. Which is a fantastic thing...but it would be nice not to have to do the mundane time-consuming things as well as the fab stuff. So yesterday we learnt "How to Scan Things". He seemed to get the hang of it pretty quickly. And cotton onto the fact that scanning is boring, no matter how fast your computer or scanner are. But he has to finish reading his Photoshop textbook before he's allowed to touch them. Scanning for hours is good motivation to learn to do more interesting things he has discovered.

Still he excels at making coffee and bringing the boss her breakfast in the mornings, and has improved his vacuuming skills by actually moving things to clean under them. As my assistant, I see a bright future ahead for him.
