one year
Today is a sad anniversary. This time exactly a year ago I was stunned by the news that my Daddy had passed away.
Had a good day today though. Extravagant 3 hour lunch with Joey at my fav french bistro in Hiratsuka. We even got service raspberry sorbet and a fresh strawberry from their homegrown stock on top.
Doesn't seem like a year already. Still seems like two months.
The pain is still there. But it doesn't hurt as much as it used to. The sadness will be within me for many years yet I suspect.
And in Japanese tradition - I have put a guitar pick, a beer and a ciggie in front of his picture today, and thought about the good times.
Still miss you Dad. But I think of you every time I get sunburned on a cloudy day mate.
