A Day of...
Loss? Confusion?
Not sure really.
Today was Mum's Birthday. Usually a day full of silliness and phonecalls. This year however I didn't really feel like speaking to anyone.
Not a good day for the Boy to have a Mood Indigo Episode. Unhappy, violent, angry. And that was just me.
Was he feeding off my melancholy vibe? Who knows. He doesn't seem to, and I can't mind read.
Weird to celebrate the death of somebody who has gone I guess. But it's habit.
Posted by mjd-s at 2005年08月08日 22:10Not weird at all. I always have 2 Mum days a year - her Birthday (Nov 14) and her Deathday (Dec 9), and I always do a little something special. Usually it's a drink of rum, her favourite drink. This year will be the seventh anniversary. I think I will always do it. And I think she'd have liked that. She was always fond of a tipple and a toast.
